Christmas Workshops

Five workshops to choose from:

Hello! We are working hard to finalise the winter workshops, it will appear here soon along with some new ones. Exciting times.
 
NEW: WORKSHOP 1:
Christmas Glass

TBC
 
Come and have a go at making you rown set of fused glass bunting or coasters with Katie Lynn. You will be encouraged to experiement with various textures of glass to produce stunning colourful effects onto your coasters or buntings. It will be a relaxing and fun time. Price includes all materials, firing and postage. Tea & coffee included. Cakes from our cafe will also be on sale.
 
£80 per person (inc. kiln firing and £20 postage)
Minimum age is 10 years (no experience necessary)

We can only fit a maximum of 10 in our workshop at each session, so book early.

Please ring 01359 270880 and ask to book a place on Workshop 1 and either pay at the Country Christmas shop or on the day.

 

W ORKSHOP 2:
Christmas Garlands

Workshops will include all materials: Natural holly, pine sprigs & cones foraged from the estate, ribbon, Christmas embellishments & wire. Attendees may bring anything dear to them which they may like to incorporate into their own work – ribbons, beads, silk flowers etc. Please note that weather permitting, foraging for greenery outside the barn will form part of the workshop experience, therefore please bring suitable outdoor clothes footwear and a brolly if need be! A pair of gardening secateurs and gloves are also a good idea if you have them. Those who do not wish to participate in the foraging can stay in the workshop. Tea & coffee included. Cakes from our cafe will also be on sale.

£45 per person
Minimum age is 8 years (no experience necessary)

W ORKSHOP 3:
Christmas Felt

TBC

Come and make felt beads and baubles for your Christmas trees. Work with merino wool fibres and add some beads and buttons, ribbons and trim to create original decorations for your home or your tree. This workshop will teach you the basics of making flat felts as well as baubles to give you a good range of materials for making up your own design ideas.
 
Please let us know if you have attended last year's felt workshop, so that Heidi will demonstrate a different project for you to try.

£25 per person
Minimum age is 12 years (no experience necessary)
We can only fit a maximum of 14 in our workshop, so book early.

ORKSHOP 4:
Christmas Wreath

W ORKSHOP 6:
Christmas Wire Gifts

TBC

Lovewire will teach some of the skills used in traditional wire work to make a wire bird cage and for those attended last year's workshop will have the chance to make a toasting fork and tea light holder (please inform if you wish to do this, thank you). These skills can be used to make a whole host of other wire items. Dave and Linda will pass on many other tips on using wire and the history of ‘Tinkering’. Any time left, will be spent making simple wire Christmas decoration. Workshops will include all materials.
Please bring an apron.

£30 per person
