Blackthorpe Barn Wins Business Award

The Barn situated in Rougham, Suffolk scooped the ‘Most Festive Business 2009’ award.
A venue for cultural and music events during the less wintry months, the Barn turns into a fantastically festive affair during November and December every year. Offering a truly unique and Christmassy shopping experience, they have a huge range of traditional and distinctive decorations, sparkling Christmas lights, Rougham Estate Christmas Trees in all shapes and sizes, not forgetting the wonderful Christmas crafts, all 100% British and made by the exhibitors themselves. The 2009 event also added to its festive feel with real reindeer and a 200 year old vintage wooden sleigh.
The award was voted for by visitors to the Best of Bury St Edmunds website. George Agnew, owner of the barn comments, “We are delighted to have won this award and would like to thank everyone who voted. It’s really enjoyable transforming the Barn every year into a haven for everything Christmassy, and watch this space for the event at the end of 2010, we are planning for it to be extra special as we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary.”
