Crafts are back at Blackthorpe Barn!
We are delighted to say that the Crafts event is back at Blackthorpe Barn this year in all its glory, as part of the Christmas at Blackthorpe Barn festival, and just in time to celebrate our 30th anniversary too!
After a difficult year in 2020, when we were all affected by Covid-19, we had to take the crafts online but it just wasn’t anywhere near the same amazing experience as usual. This year will be back in person.
This six-weekend-long celebration of some of the best artisan craft in this country has been running for an incredible 30 years. It is a tribute to the show’s staying power that it has survived and grown over all these years. It has an enduring passion for all that is unique and best, in a world obsessed with mass production.
Meet the Makers
Located inside the beautiful and vast 16th century thatched Blackthorpe Barn, and its adjoining spaces, the entire event offers bags of atmosphere, a sense of excitement and the rare thrill to see a consistency of quality at every turn. The carefully-selected makers are present themselves and creativity abounds throughout. Many of our wonderful makers are back again, and, of course, there are some new faces too, with a different selection of makers from week to week, whilst a core of other makers remain throughout.
So whether you are looking for a much-deserved treat for yourself or a very special gift for someone else, what could be better than coming to this centre of excellence to get some inspiration?

Why do we make an entry charge to Crafts?
The cost of the maintenance of an ancient barn such as this one is considerable, so we make a small charge to every visitor, in order to distribute these costs over everyone who enters the event. The entrance fee also means we can keep the stall-holder fees down, allowing the makers to benefit more from the sale of their works.
Our entrance tickets are priced very modestly compared to most other craft shows of this calibre, so by paying the small fee, you are supporting both Suffolk heritage and the talented craft-makers. Thank you!
LATEST NEWS: (20 October) We have had a couple of cancellations and have a few spaces left for craft-maker/stall-holders, please fill in the online application form if you are interested.
Should you wish to discuss exhibiting at the Barn, please email Katie Millard, email@example.com.
