MEET Christine Pike, Sculptor and Figure Maker
Christine uses clay, paperclay and other environmentally responsible sculpting materials to make figurative work that tells stories. Her love of British folktales and ballads has always informed her work. Her other lifelong fascination is with articulated dolls and marionette figures. Both of these passions feed into her work.
From one-of-a-kind hand-sculpted pieces to small press moulded editions her work reflects the worlds of myth and fairytale in all their ambiguity and strangeness…
The work on this page represents a selection of her range and styles. You will find work for immediate purchase on her Facebook page – please send her a friend request if you don’t want to miss out!
She is happy to accept commissions – please email her to enquire, or if you have any questions.
From 2023 Christine will be running workshops in paperclay sculpting at a venue in central Downham Market, West Norfolk, and other locations around the country. Please email her if you would like to know more.
