Jewellery: Individually designed and handcrafted sterling silver jewellery, made in Norfolk
Memories of driving along dirt tracks and beaches on wild Greek Islands in an old family Landrover at the age of eight, has always inspired Fiona Johnson to design and create her sterling silver jewellery. Her unique pieces slowly evolve as she lovingly crafts them in her Norfolk studio. The inspiration for each item begins on an an idyllic island, a twinkling blue sea, a stony shoreline, a rambling river or a local green lane. Interpreting images and memories with silver, embellished with semi precious stones, copper and brass. Fiona spends hours creating something special from a single sheet of sterling silver. No piece is mass produced, designs may be similar but never the same. Each piece is a story waiting to be told.
From the few pictures of Fiona’s jewellery shown here, a few stories… a bracelet inspired by the flotsam and jetsam found on a beach. A cuff representing a jetty proudly surviving decades of decay. A bangle from memories of a discarded fishing net. A ring reflecting colours seen in the waters of Greece. A stunning pendent depicting pebbles by the ever blue waves of the Ionian Sea, and a handbag brooch that she just wanted to make!
