Silver and gold jewellery
My journey into jewellery began when I was young and it soon turned into a passion that I wanted to pursue at university. I achieved a first-class BA(Hons) in Goldsmithing, Silversmithing and jewellery design at Kent Institute of Art and Design. This gave me the opportunity to be creative with contemporary design and learn a wide variety of hand skills to a high standard. Following this, I spent a further year at West Dean College on the restoration of metalwork course – a jammed packed year of learning new hand skills and enhancing and building upon the knowledge I had already gained.
The inspiration for my work comes from modelmaking origami and paper folding, the clean lines and geometric shapes are fundamental to my designs. More recently I have been drawn to look at the natural beauty around me, living in the rural Essex/Suffolk borders offers plenty of inspiration! I have always been fascinated by gemstones and love using them in my designs to add colour and an element of contrast.
Commissions are welcomed, I enjoy the process of working with clients to achieve a piece of jewellery that they love!
