MEET Jane Marshall

Jane creates a range of bright textiles including various purses, pouches and wallets – as well as felt accessories and decorations – using modern colours and fabrics, and often featuring embroidery (hand and machine) and embellishments such as buttons and ribbon.

Her inspirations comes from folk art, the 1960s and 1970s pop culture, and decorative mavericks from Klimt to Gaudí. Many pieces are created using various patchwork and quilting techniques, always with a modern vibe. She also makes cheerful mini-quilts, wallhangings, table runners, cushions and larger quilts.

She teaches modern patchwork techniques in classes and workshops across East Anglia and her work has been featured in books and magazines in the UK and USA.
