MEET Tricia Francis

Tricia makes modern hand-thrown domestic earthenware on a 60-year-old kick wheel. She is passionate about making pots that are useful, beautiful and accessible.

Everything she makes is designed for a purpose that is mostly related to the celebration of food and drink. Making a light well-balanced mug that sits well in their hands for everyday use is as important to her as making a large commemorative piece to celebrate a special occasion. The loosely thrown pots are decorated with freely poured glazes over a white dishwasher safe zircon glaze, in coastal colours of soft greys and green. Making ware that is priced so as to be accessible to everyone has always been key to her business.
