Craft Workshops 2023
AUTUMN & FESTIVE WORKSHOPS
If the arts and crafts in Blackthorpe Barn ignite your own creativity, then there are many opportunities to learn something new with our in-person hands-on workshops, led by professional craftsmen and women, who are incredibly artistic and a joy to learn from.
The workshops are full of fun and interest, designed to develop creativity and skills that stand the test of time, with some accepting participants as young as age 8.
“I’m a big fan of workshops – these two to three hours of experience give you a good taste of what you can go on to create yourself.”

The craft workshops at Blackthorpe Barn take place in the Meadow Room, a short walk from the café and shop (see the Ground Plan). There is free parking at the Barn and tea and coffee are included. Most workshops include all the materials needed, but some may ask you to bring some items with you.
Specific details of the individual workshops currently on offer can be found in the links below. Some workshops are for adults only and others are designed for you to work with one of your children, aged 8-16, where you work together – please check the details in each workshop link.
Tea, coffee and snacks are provided during the workshop, but if you are staying over lunch, you are welcome to bring a packed lunch with you or visit the Roots Café onsite, which serves light lunches.
Any problems with booking or other queries please contact us or email Amie directly: amie at roughamestate dot com .
